The Weight Loss Benefits Of Green Tea.

Let me tell you my crazy story about drinking green tea and the all the weight I lost. I use to weigh about 190 pounds before I started drinking tea. After drinking it for about 3 months, I lost 30 pounds. How easy is that? If I can do it, anyone can do it too, with a little effort.

Here's the catch. I did give up two of my favorite, full of sugar drinks. I gave up coffee and soda. Instead of drinking my daily dose of supercharge caffeine in the morning, I swapped it for green tea, which also contains caffeine, minus the sugar. During lunch I either drank either cool water or a nice cup of ice or warm tea depending on my mood of course. So what are the benefits of green tea?

One of the benefits of green tea is catechins and work as an antioxidant. What happens is the catechins increase your basal metabolic rate, hence you burn more calories throughout your day without doing any exercise. The other benefits of green tea are lowering bad cholesterol, fighting heart disease, and battling cancer.

Exercise was another secret to losing the weight. Just simple exercise like speed walking or a light run for about 20 to 30 minutes is good enough. If you have bad knees, I would recommend riding a bike or a stationary bike too. After you improve your stamina level, I would add more physical exercises like jumping jacks, push-ups, and sit-ups.

Drinking green tea and doing easy exercise made me lose weight and fat from my body. If you're delicate with caffeine, I would recommend buying caffeine-free green tea to drink on the evenings or nights. Also it is advise to drink 4 to 5 cups of tea to boost your basal metabolic rate and burn the extra calories. Hopefully this article will encourage you to start or keep drinking tea for the many benefits that green tea offers.
