One of the best most challenging journeys you'll ever go on is seeing what your body can do. There might be a chance you are in shape, totally out of shape, or simply looking to lose some weight. Nevertheless, developing a body you can be proud, one that is healthy, and permits you to really adore each last inch of it actually is a dazzling journey to travel down.

So what is the real key to making a lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table each day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you'll become unmotivated and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, understand that you are competing against and with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every time you do, you need to come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always strongly desire. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field every day. Without it, you will suffer the the inevitable fact of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on creating the body of their dreams because they are missing the power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also is evoked, but not the commitment you're likely thinking of in this case. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must occur right now and if it does not actually happen right now, it is not worthwhile. Your body is going to drastically change throughoutthe years, so why don't you make a lifetime promise to keeping healthy? Is that a sexy marketable idea? Not really. But is it something that might actually change the course of your life? Totally.

When you make a promise to keeping your body healthy through your whole life, you'll ultimately reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the bigger picture than simply the few months in front of you until the summer. It's about developing something that you can be pleased with forever. For me, that concept made my life different as I was able to ultimately hit my fitness goals after 12 years of fighting with my self image and food issues. But as soon as I modified my view of what I was making an attempt to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it's working for you. Make a lifetime and relentless commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term also.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all aspects of your life, and things will change drastically.
