Shoulder Pain Relief Provided By Chiropractic In Singapore

By Fernando Ketter

Pain and range of motion issues in the shoulders is certainly one of the most common complaints seen by chiropractors today. According to some estimates, around a third of adults are experiencing some form of shoulder pain at any one time. Under the guidance of a Singapore chiropractor, sufferers can avoid pain killers and their side-effects and enjoy pain relief that is both natural and effective.

A key characteristic of the shoulder joint is it's flexibility, but this is also it's main weaknesses. Its range of motion means that it is less stable than other joints and is thus more prone to injury. What's more, poor postural habits and a sedentary lifestyle make it even more vulnerable.

One of the most common shoulder conditions seen by chiropractors is frozen shoulder (inflammation of the shoulder joint). Rotator cuff problems (relating to the muscles and tendons of the shoulder) are also extremely common. Impingement syndrome (where the tendon that attaches the shoulder blade to the arm catches in the joint) is another frequently seen issue.

Fortunately, shoulder pain can be successfully alleviated when properly identified and attended to. The kind of procedures used very much depend upon a patient's particular problem. Chiropractors have a range of techniques at their disposal with the emphasis very much on getting to the root cause of pain.

With regard to joint issues, chiropractors have a variety of gentle manipulation techniques for unlocking joints and restoring their range of movement. Tension in soft tissues can be relieved with massage, ultrasound, heat applications and other interventions. When pent-up tension is eased and range of motion restored, pain is often reduced considerably.

That said, it can take time to get the best results. While many patients experience a dramatic reduction in pain within 1-3 sessions, those with more complex issues may require more. However, all chiropractic care is gentle and natural and can save patients considerable time and money when compared to conventional approaches.
